I went for a slumber partay at Maria's on Friday night. It was soooo much fun! Sarah, Lamia and Astrid was there too. They said I was very sick minded that time. I totally disagreed! I mean...okay....so I made a few 'sexual' comments, but THEY were the ones who tried to rape me!
Which reminds me of how funny History class was. It's just so much easier if I post the conversations that took place:

Twilight came out yesterday in Qatar, at the same time it came out in Malaysia.

Who knew..

Apparently when you join the forensics club at my school, you are not gonna be studying bones and be all CSI-ish, instead you participate in debate, serious oral test or a skit.

Why do they call it forensics then?

Anyway, forensics members from other schools came to mine for a three-day competition. Or was it four? Well, they had one today and I had signed up to help with the concession stand for some community hours. Me and Sarah went and so we sold lots of snacks, food (Subway and HUGE pizza, I'm not even kidding) and drinks. It was pretty fun actually, I did 6 hours of service and I only have 4 more for this year, :D.

For those who don't know,community service hours are the time you spend doing stuff to help others. And since I'm new this year I only need 10 hours. Next year, I'll have to do 50 :S.

During the whole community service thing, there was this freshman kid from another school who came to buy some coffee from us. And then we found he's just the most awesome guy ever! He started asking us where do we think he came from. And seriously, it was hard to guess, he looked Caucasian, has brown hair, blue eyes, and some kind of eastern - European accent. After we all had a turn at guessing, it turned out he was actually Lebanese xD. After that, we spent like 2 hours chatting with this guy, because he was SO funny! I think one of our friends thought he was a little weird, but we think he's awesome. And before any of you ask, no he's not hott, he's not even cute, but he is very cute in personality and he has an awesome accent and has the cutest cat ever. He showed me on his iphone xD.

I feel like shit today. My mom got admitted to the hospital this morning and I wanted to visit her but my dad called the cab sooooo late. He's just sooooooo annoying.

Some of Sarah's friends came over to the compound so she invited me to hang out. It was pretty awkward cuz I dont really know them that well, even though I've seen them around at school.
At first I was pretty excited to talk to them but then they started talking about some stuff I didnt wanna talk about. There are just some things you don't talk to me about and one of them is about my friends. So I just kinda lost the mood. But I guess they didnt go further into depth for my sake.
And then Maria came and she invites a lot of her European friends, including a couple of pretty cute guys.
But whatever, I just kinda didn't feel like hanging out with them anymore. And then I went home when my dad called me.
And, i dnt know, its just one of those days I guess.

I need a fruit basket.

I was spazzing out like nobody's business today. At the end of school I realized that I lost my 500 Riyal bill that my dad gave me to buy a sweatshirt that cost 140 Riyal. And of course I spazzed out, I mean he would KILL me if I had lost it. So I checked everywhere, okay not everywhere, just the toilet. And then I straightaway went to the high school office to report it and by that time I was crying. Well, sobbing I guess because no tears spilled, my eyes were just watery, but ANYWAY. I told the lady that I lost it and she asked me some questions and I was so not in the mood for that so I went out and when I saw Sarah I told her what happened. And then the lady went out and told me to answer her questions. She asked me if I had passed the computer room in the morning and I said yes because I was on the way to my Arab class and... It turned out that somebody found it in front of the computer room and gave it to the office! I was so FUCKING RELIEF!

She gave me his name and said that I should give him a thank you note. But I'm so happy I could just give him a fruit basket! But then my dad would ask questions, and I don't want to tell him what happened xD.

Not everybody would turn in the money; hell, most people would probably keep it. Some people here go into people's lockers (the ones without locks) and steals books. That's what happened to Sarah. ><. I am so grateful to Allah that a kind and not-greedy person found my money and not some imbecile. :]

Pretty odd, pretty sad truth.

I had a weird dream.
It was a sad one too.
In the dream I was in Malaysia and it was my birthday, but nobody remembered it and nobody wished me so I went to the mall to celebrate by myself. And while I was there, I found a friend! Well he found me. I'm not gonna tell you his name because I'm afraid of misinterpretation here and I kinda dont want him to find out. Anyways then he suddenly wish me a Happy Birthday! Anyways, the convo went something like this:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Oh, you remembered! You're the only one who remember.
I know, and that's why I skip school today and brought this camera! *shows one of those big photojournalist camera*
Wow, cool!

And then we were just taking pictures of ourselves, and that's it! It was pretty sad because it made me remember that my birthday this year was pretty crappy. I mean some people did remember but two or three of the closest people to me and whom I expected to remember the most did not wish me at all. They even greeted me online but didn't wish me at all and so I didn't bother to remind them. And what's more was that I was in Nine at the time and was having a pretty hard time and the birthday didn't help ><.

Anywho, I can explain for all the weird elements of my dream. I dream of my birthday because I was looking at my friend's sweet sixteen photos on Facebook. The friend I found at the mall? Well, I was looking at his myspace pictures. The huge photojoournalist camera? I was watching a Gossip Girl episode when Jenny and her model friend were taking pictures with the same type of camera. xD. And all this happened right before I went to sleep.

Anyways, I'm gonna post some pictures I took on the bus of this kid, Fawzi. He's my new bus buddy. He likes to 'scare' me and play 'rock, paper, scissors' the tic tac toe way.

Today...

was full of crap.
Nothing happened.
It was just one of those days when you only see the bad side of everything.
And you can't talk to anyone about it ><.

The Lock down

It happened during my free period in the library when I was just talking to Adam about how unlucky we both are to have Ms. Painter for English, when suddenly Mr. Bouderou was on the speaker saying something like:

'We are having a lock down, all students go to rural areas.'

I was really, really blurr. I was like 'huh? rural areas?' Then the librarian looked all panicky and told us to hurry up and since I thought 'rural areas' meant homeroom or something, I was about to go out the library but Adam told me that we have to hide behind the bookshelves againts the wall.
And so we all did and the librarians all acted panicky and told us to be quiet as if there really was an attack or something. I saw Amy there too because her Biology class (I think) were using the computers upstairs. She said she wanted to say "Dianah!" but the teacher told her to be quiet.
Anyways, I later then found out that that was some kind of drill in case there's an attack outside or an intruder comes in. I find it pretty funny but also pretty annoying. Because I was kind of in the middle of studying for my vocab test.
Hidayah said she was on the way to the library during the lock down and one teacher spotted her and her friend and told them to go hide in the closet until it's done. xD
I find that pretty hilarious.

Oh and I also found out that the windows are shatter proofed.

I think if I was in the hallway or something during a lock down, I would probably go hide in a locker with my sandwich in my backpack.

Malin said I was 'off the hook' today. I don't know what that means but she said it has something to do with the fact that I keep telling her about how cute some guys were and how this Freshman girl looks a lot like a Junior...but she's not, she just happened to look very mature for her age.

Welcome to Nine Pearls! It's the new 'it' compound! Well, I don't know really, but that's just what people told me xD. Today was pretty okay, I've been pretty happy all week. I took your advice Emz, I'm hanging out with people that I click with. From now on, Emz is my Obionekanobi. Anyways, this really cute kid in the bus, started telling me about her day. And I was just like ... okay, that's nice. But then suddenly it got awkwaaaard.

Kid: Syawal.
Syawal: Yeah?
Kid: My mother is dead.
Me: Your mother is what?
Kid: My mother, she's dead.
Me: uhh, oh. um, I'm really sorry. How did she die?
Kid: She was smoking cigarette and then she put it up her nose.
Me: Oh, um um [I was like, is she joking?] uh, why did she do that?
Kid: Because she was trying to kill herself.
Me: Oh, um, when did she die?
Kid: Uh, the day after yesterday.
Me: Okay [Isn't that today?]
Kid: [rubs eyes]
Syawal: Don't cry.
Me: Uhhhhh...[panicking]

I had no idea if she was joking or not. Seriously. And sometimes when she laugh she sounds kinda evil o.O.. But she's such a cute kid, and her hairstyle is even cuter! I asked if I could take a picture of her hair and she said no, so I took them furtively. I mean, what are the chances that she will google me up on the internet and find her pictures on my blog? She's five!

Okay, tonight me and Sarah went walking around the compound and we had a heart to heart talk. It was cool, and we stalked this guy that has the telephone booth and the british accent. Yeap the house is down below!

Eye - Candy

I have fixed my failing-Algebra 2 -problem! I have found myself a student tutor! Okay well Li-Shan found me. She asked me if I needed help and offered me tutoring and since we both have study hall together, it's all good. :D
I found out my GPA is 3.257...The maximum is 4.0, so I'm not sure if that's good or bad but my mom said it's okay..
And right now, I am really freaking out, because this lady at the office said that I should be in Grade 11 because she thinks my grades from Malaysia was 'pretty good' but then my councelor said I should take Grade 10 again because I didn't complete the damn thing and the fact that I don't have my form 4 results doesn't help either..But then again my results were shit so they might just put me in Grade 10 anyway........ I'm confuse :S
I agree that I have studied for most of my grade 10, like chem, physics and bio...But the format here is very different and it's all so confusing to me; so whenever I thought I had learned one particular topic it turned out I got it all wrong. Wth?
I mean I will graduate earlier if I go to Grade 11, but I'm just soooo screwed... nothing is ever normal for me, seriously. These things only happens to me!

Anyway, I'm just starting to notice how good looking some of the guys here at ASD. I don't know, it just suddenly hit me, like 'WHAM, he's cute!' or 'WOAH check that guy out!'
There was this Grade 11 guy that Fatin and I always smile at whenever he walks by, we're creepy but he's just so hott. And the last time I had study hall and I was in the library, I saw this other cute Junior and he was with Li Shan, so I did not hesitate to ask her for help with my Algebra 2 homework XD. And on the same day, in PE class we had to do track games. One of them was high jump and there was this Senior guy who helps out the teacher. He was supposed to help us out with high jump. And I totally suck at it. And he was nice enough to take the bar off for me, hehe. But then again maybe it's because I stopped like 3 times before I actually decided to jump. He wasn't actually that hott at first, but then I'm a sucker for European accents and really really nice guys XD.

And you wouldn't believe it, on the same day, I met this guy Fatihah was talking to. He's a Junior and had like the cutest French accent EVER! And Fatihah said he's very, very shy. But I don't really like shy guys. Only one of us has to be shy, and that is most definitely me!
And TODAY, I found out this cute Junior guy in my Art class is French-Canadian! He has like an awesome French accent too! But only when he speaks French XD.

Hidayah: *point to guy* He's Canadain-French
*Guy smiles*
Me: *GASP* Really? So you can speak French?
Guy: Uhh, yeah. [He must have thought I was stupid, I mean ALL Canadian-French can speak French! I should have known that!]

Just Sleep

Yeah I'm sleepy and it's only 8. I'm guessing it's because I went for cross country today and swimming last night. I thought when Maria and Sarah invited me to go swimming at night it would be pretty mild, but for some reason it turned out pretty wild.... but it was fun, Maria brought two of her European friends from some other school. And one of them is as hyper as Sarah on Skittles. XD
Maria were throwing us candies and cookies in the pool and I think that's why I have stomach cramps. Because I ate while swimming ><. And now we have a guy to stalk in our compound, who lives near the telephone booth that is so obvious to everyone but me! I seriously haven't seen it! And why does the telephone booth not have a telephone in it? Weeeeird. I'm sooooo frustrated right now, I can't get to powerschool.com so I can't see my grades! But my mom has and she said I got all As except for a B in Bio and a FREAKING D on Algebra 2... All because of that test. Grrr, that test which I thought I aced but turned out I got so many clumsy mistakes.. And Emz, I still can't call you, I think I got the country code wrong or something... Okay I'm just gonna post a recent conversation I had with Maria in the bathroom today.

Hey Maria, do you have stomach cramps?
Mmmm, no. I don't. Why?
Oh, because me and Sarah have it and i think it's because you fed us food while we were swimming.
Well I don't have it! Must be a Malaysian thing or something. You Malaysians!

She and Sarah are always talking about being Asian and European, it's so funny XD.
Okay this conversation took place on the way home from swimming last night, I don't even know how I could remember it XD.
